development. In Egypt, the Church plays a crucial role in harnessing this
youthful potential through voluntary work, which serves as an effective tool
for promoting community engagement and fostering social cohesion.

Importance of Voluntary Work for Youth
Voluntary work is not merely an optional activity;
rather, it is a powerful means for young people to create a positive impact in
their communities. It is defined as “an activity undertaken freely for the
public good without financial compensation as the primary motivation.”
Within the Church, volunteering serves as a platform for youth to acquire
essential skills needed in the job market, such as leadership, teamwork,
problem-solving, and effective communication. This is particularly important in
light of current economic challenges, which have intensified job competition.

and Spiritual Impact of Volunteering
In the Church, voluntary work is an integral part of both
