Introduction to the Great Lent Journey
The Holy Great Lent in the Coptic Orthodox Church is a sacred season of repentance, renewal, and spiritual growth. It is a time in which the Church invites us to walk step by step with Christ, deepening our relationship with Him through prayer, fasting, and reflection.
In this page, we present a series of seven lectures delivered by Fr. Lazar at Trinity Center, in the great lent 2026. Each one exploring the spiritual depth and meaning of the seven Sundays of the Great Lent. Through these talks, we are guided to understand the daily Church’s readings, live the journey more intentionally, and apply its lessons in our daily lives.
Each week carries a unique message—calling us to repentance, faith, struggle, and ultimately to the joy of resurrection. May these Lectures and reflections support you in experiencing a truly transformative Lent.
